*NOW CLOSED* Tender open for Launceston Head to Health
Posted on July 13, 2021
Primary Health Tasmania has commenced an open tender process to identify a lead agency for an adult mental health centre in Launceston, to be known as Launceston Head to Health Centre.
The centre is one of a number of equivalent sites being established across the country as part of an Australian Government trial, and will aim to improve access to mental health and related support services for Tasmanians in the Launceston area, connect care, and reduce demand on hospital emergency departments.
Once in place, the lead agency will work with Primary Health Tasmania, the Tasmanian Department of Health, Tasmanian Health Service, local service providers, lived experience representatives, and other stakeholders to develop and deliver activities from the centre.
The organisation will be responsible for recruiting staff to work from the centre, establishing referral pathways to and from other services, and implementing the philosophy of care and service model.
The tender will close on 6 August.
