HealthPathways: Personal accounts now available

As of 10 March 2025, health professionals can register for their own Tasmanian HealthPathways account and unlock a more personalised, convenient and streamlined experience.

HealthPathways aims to guide GPs and other health professionals in the best-practice assessment and management of common medical conditions, including how to refer patients to local specialists and services in the most timely and efficient way. More information about Tasmanian HealthPathways is available here.

Since the portal was launched in 2014, users have accessed it through a shared login. Health professionals are now encouraged to create their own HealthPathways login. The shared login will eventually be phased out.

Please note that to enable this upgrade, existing users will be logged out of Tasmanian HealthPathways on 10 March. To log back in, register for a new individual account or use the shared username connectingcare and shared password health

Personalised logins offer several benefits for users, including:

  • Convenience – easily manage your account and preferences, making it simpler to find and use the information you need, when you need it. With your personal HealthPathways account, you can stay signed in for up to a year, eliminating the need to log in every time you visit.
  • Enhanced privacy and security – with a personal HealthPathways account, you’ll have your own private and secure login and you’ll be able to maintain your own user profile, including being able to change your password and other details. Only aggregated and anonymised usage data is used to monitor trends and support quality improvements. If you want to know more, view the Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy.
  • Exclusive features – your personal HealthPathways account will provide you with exclusive access to new features. Features being developed include HealthPathways use for continuing professional development (CPD) activity tracking and an AI-enhanced user experience for smart search to help you rapidly find the information you need.
