Palliative care education grants

Posted on April 9, 2025

Primary Health Tasmania is offering a second round of education grants to help primary healthcare professionals boost their knowledge and skills in palliative care.

Two short online courses will be available through Flinders University – a Certificate in Palliative Care (10 weeks), and a Specialist Certificate in Palliative Care (13 weeks).

These courses will commence in July 2025, and there will be no cost to successful applicants.

The education grants are part of Primary Health Tasmania’s Australian Government-funded work to support quality palliative and end-of-life care for Tasmanians, including those who want to receive care at home.

Priority will be given to applications from practice nurses, pharmacists, allied health professionals, carers, aged care providers, Aboriginal health workers, Integrated Team Care (ITC) program coordinators, people working in emerging areas of palliative care, and those with an interest working in other healthcare settings.
