Updated ‘community health checks’ for Tasmania 

Primary Health Tasmania has released updated ‘community health checks’, providing a detailed snapshot of health and wellbeing across Tasmania’s 29 local government areas.  

The checks bring together latest data from a range of sources to describe key aspects of population, health risk factors, mental health, immunisation rates, hospital admissions, causes of death and more. 

Each profile presents local data alongside Tasmanian averages, helping to show how health and wellbeing can vary across different parts of the state.  

They help support communities and organisations to better understand local health needs and consider how services can respond. 

This update reflects Primary Health Tasmania’s commitment to making population health information accessible and relevant across Tasmania.
