Tasmanian HealthPathways

Primary Health Tasmania has developed a comprehensive suite of COVID-19 Pathways for Tasmania which cover clinical care and vaccination.

Our Tasmanian HealthPathways online portal is a free, evidence-based resource for Tasmanian health professionals. It provides local guidance on best-practice assessment, management of common medical conditions and referral options.

COVID-19 vaccination

The COVID-19 Tasmanian HealthPathways are kept up-to-date with the latest information on COVID-19 vaccination, including booster advice.

The Australian Government Department of Health and Aged Care website has information about COVID-19 vaccines, including advice for vaccine providers.

Primary Health Tasmania is offering funding opportunities for COVID-19 vaccination home visits, pop-up clinics and reimbursement for non-Medicare card holders. More information on our engagement portal.

COVID-19 management

The COVID-19 Tasmanian HealthPathways are kept up-to-date with the latest information on management of COVID-19, including:

The Australian Government has advice for healthcare professionals on what to consider when treating patients for COVID-19, and telehealth services available.

Infection control

The Tasmanian Government has resources available to help minimise the spread of COVID-19 in workplaces.

It also has comprehensive information on infection prevention and control, including resources and education for healthcare workers.

The Australian Commission on Safety and Quality in Health Care also has a suite of infection prevention and control online modules.

Aged care

The Australian Government has up-to-date COVID-19 advice for the aged care sector.

The Tasmanian Government provides information about vulnerable people and high-risk settings such as aged care facilities, as well as information for older Tasmanians.

Disability

The Australian Government has up-to-date COVID-19 advice for disability support services.

The Tasmanian Government provides information about vulnerable people and high-risk settings such as disability residential facilities, as well as information for people with disability.

The Australian Government’s Carer Gateway provides information about COVID-19 for carers, including those supporting people living with disability.
